Hands-on activities, games and projects perfect for children ages 10 and under fill the rooms of the Johnstown Children's Museum. From traditional play rooms like a general store and a child-sized kitchen to high-tech computer activities where kids can create an outfit or mix a soundtrack, the museum encourages interactive play and helps develop crucial life skills. The steel mill area of the museum is a wonderful way to get children to explore Johnstown's history, with activities ranging from filling molds to managing worker shifts. Located on the third floor of Johnstown's Heritage Discovery Center, the building also holds interactive exhibits and displays on the cultural history of the town as well as the Iron & Steel Gallery.
